(1)    The Thai government is planning to grant special privilege of allowing migrant  worker from Myanmar to apply for temporary passports and certificate of identity to accompanied children under 15 years of age. The Thai government confirmed this policy in a meeting held on 15.1.2013.

(2)    In this process for the first step, workers need to report and make registration at the Thai labour department through their employer from 15.1.2013 to 5.2.2013.

(3)    After registration, a work permit and certificate of identity will be given or issued at a one stop service center within a day in the following 10 places from 15.2.2013 to 15.5.2013.

6. Kachanaburi
7. Rayong
8. Khon Kaen
9. Songkhla
10. Nakhon Ratchasima

4) Therefore the Myanmar embassy announces and informs remaining illegal immigrant  workers to proceed with their necessary papers within the above mentioned period.
