Book Reading and Discussion with Author Benedict Rogers, Wednesday 5 September and Thursday 6 September
Benedict Rogers, long-time Burma specialist, human rights activist, and author of three books on Burma, will read from his latest work, the newly-published Burma: A Nation at the Crossroads (2012, Random House), in Chiang Mai early next month. He will also discuss his long-term advocacy work for the people of Burma through Christian Solidarity Worldwide, and recent developments in Burma.
We are happy to welcome Benedict for two engagements in Chiang Mai: one on the evening of Wednesday 5 September, and also the next afternoon, Thursday 6 September. The evening session will take place on 5 September at Sangdee Gallery, 5 Sirimankhalajarn Soi 5, at 7 p.m. The afternoon session will be on 6 September at CMU's Faculty of Social Sciences Operational Building, in the Fourth Floor Meeting Room.
Copies of Burma: A Nation at the Crossroads are available at Asia Books outlets throughout Thailand for 630 baht, and will be available at both engagements in Chiang Mai for the special price of 550 baht.
