Shooting between KIA and Burma Army continues deadly trend
SHAN has been reported that many small battles rose up between KIA and SPDC during 13-15 July throughout the area of Muse and Kutkhai Township of Northern Shan State and many soldiers from both groups were killed during the conflicts.
A local reported that on July 13 at 13:00 local time zone, KIA commandos and Infantry Battalion 23 encountered at Den Ko village, Ho Pyat village tract, Muse Township killing four from the Burma Army and two from KIA.
“Burma Army troops were trailing the KIA attending the meeting held at the village. It came across KIA most likely by the time KIA was returning after the meeting and started charging which killed four men from the government force and two men from Kachin group,” a local said.
Yesterday at14:00 local time zone, at Mongkoe, Muse Township, there was also a clash between government troops and KIA. It involved using heavy weapons, according to the villagers, but the details were not available.
Likewise, several battles between KIA and the governments continues across Kachin State which led more refugees fleeing towards KIA dominated areas and added up to the regional refugee population of about 52,000 to more than 53,000.
