Community Solutions Program - Looking for Burmese Applicants

Dear Sir or Madam,

I’m happy to announce that the 2013-2014 Community Solutions Program has recently added Burma to its list of eligible countries for this year’s program. All qualified individuals from Burma who are interested in applying can submit an application between Friday, January 18 and Friday, February 15,, 2013.

This is the third round of the Community Solutions Program, a professional development program for the best and brightest global community leaders working in Transparency & Accountability, Tolerance & Conflict Resolution, Environmental Issues, and Women & Gender Issues. Selected candidates will participate in: a four month U.S. fellowship with a local nonprofit organization or government agency; structured virtual learning and networking via the Online Community Leadership Institute; and, the design and implementation of follow-on projects in their home countries.  The program will also include a small outbound component that will allow up to five U.S. host representatives to travel overseas for approximately two weeks on projects related to the program themes.

As this is our first year recruiting applicants from Burma, we would greatly appreciate your assistance in disseminating this announcement and attached flyer to your colleagues and contacts that might be interested in participating in the program. As mentioned above, the application deadline is Friday, February 15, 2013 at 12pm EST. The application and additional program information is available online at: Related links are also included at the end of this email.

Thank you,

The Community Solutions Program Team
